• Can I bring family and friends to watch classes?
Family and friends are always welcome at the academy. In fact, we encourage family and friends to join us in the viewing area to watch our classes! To ensure the comfort and safety of all students, staff and parents we would like to review the expectations for those using the seating area.

  • Can I bring my younger child to watch classes?
To ensure the safety of all children and those seated around them: All children must be seated in the chair properly. Please do not allow them to stand on chairs or sit on the floor where they could fall or be stepped on. (Children sitting on a parents' lap is acceptable). ? To help eliminate outside distractions: -Please bring a quiet activity for your children to do while in the seating area. (We have received feedback that rattling keys, audio handheld games and reading out loud, etc. are distracting to students and instructors). -Please step outside until the class period of over if you wish to socialize or answer your cell phone. ? You've had a long day-'Sit back and relax!' We are excited that parents and guests want to stay and watch classes! To ensure the comfort of everyone, please wait in the seating area only. (Do not wait by the door, front counter or in the hallway). Because we are teaching a physical skill in a group environment, it is easy for people to forget how easily others can be distracted. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with these rules as we attempt to minimize distractions while enhancing the focus and concentration of your family members during class.

  • Can I bring friends and family to the graduation night?
Absolutely! again we encourage you to bring all your friends and of course your family. Graduations are to celebrate the students achievement and success. We again ask that everyone be seated in a chair...unless we have reached the point of "Standing room only". We ask that you not allow your child to enter the blue matted area without the chief instructors permission.

  • Can I take pictures or video at the graduation?
Picture taking is acceptable, however please get permission from the chief instructor for phone and camera video's. Due to online media such as Youtube, Facebook etc; we have many concerned family members when it comes to others using cameras.

  • I have a friend or family member that would like a lesson. Can I bring them?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your guests anytime to the academy. We ask if you have someone that would like to try a lesson, please contact your instructor to make arrangements for them to join you in class...or we will invite them in by appointment for a private lesson.

  • Can we record video from our phone at my child's class?
You are welcome to record with your camera, cell phone, smart phone, Ipad etc; however to protect the privacy of our students and instructors, please get permission from Mr. Soto before recording.

  • Do we have to sit in a chair while viewing classes?
Yes, we appreciate it when everyone is sitting. it can be very distracting for the instructor and student when there are people standing in the lobby or seating area. Think of this like a classroom at school. When students are learning and there is someone standing in the back of them...it does create distraction for the student. If you have to stand up and leave for a few minutes, we appreciate your support.
